Veranda

Veranda

What an adventure to do the interiorarchitecture for a restaurant like Veranda.

The big move from the little place in Berchem to the north of Antwerp was a big challenge.

First there was nothing, than we build it up, step by step. For the interior we wanted a natural look for the walls, simple but with a lot of feeling and drawing. It was a intensive proces for our craftsmen. Most of the things you see in the restaurant are custom made. Again with love for natural materials.

We choose the aluminium greenery windows in the whole restaurant to create unity, even upstairs in the toilets. The sink is made in the same material.

The garden we decided to keep simple and clean, with flint and a simple concrete bench.

It was a great search for the best form, materials and colours to match the food.
